Blue Newt Provides Visual Simulation for American Helicopter Society Best Paper
Blue Newt Software is pleased to congratulate Continuum Dynamics, Inc. on award of the Alfred P. Gessow Best Paper Award of the American Helicopter Society (AHS) Annual Forum 65. CDIs award-winning work on brownout simulation was awarded best paper at this years AHS forum. CDI contracted with Blue Newt to develop a visual system and visualization of this research for this preject. Blue Newt developed a high-speed realtime dust cloud visualizer to integrate into an extant helicopter simulator deployed at NASA Marshall, in Huntsville, AL. The visualization package consumed live cloud simulation data and adapted to changing conditions of both the helicopter and dust cloud.
