Blue Newt Demonstrates Technology in ATI Booth at SIGGRAPH 2009
Blue Newt Software announced a preview demonstration of its simulator software and rendering engine to be demonstrated in the ATI booth at SIGGRAPH 2009. The engine being demonstrated will show a variety of advanced rendering features new to the industry. Specifically of interest at SIGGRAPH is the tight integration of the Blue Newt rendering technology with the ATI FirePro 8750 and S400 hardware synchronization module.

The simulator being shown is a 6-channel, hardware-synchronized, deferred rendering engine. The city scene being shown is lit with approximately 81 dynamic lights and runs at fully interactive framerates. The renderer additionally demonstrates accurate time-of-day, stable shadows, bloom, and high-dynamic range, all within the same environment.
The engine is currently being finalized as a product and is already deployed in its first installation at Daimler AG and will be available for widespread availability in late 2009.
